Day 30 – God’s Love Is Beautiful

Posted by on Nov 16, 2010 | 0 comments

It’s been a month since the 40-day challenge began… wow! It’s amazing how quickly time passes. I’ve enjoyed it so far and am excited about the things that are happening. Over the last 4 days, I have had 5 students who were involved in BCM when I worked there (2 couples and a single guy) who’ve said they want to give – and at least one of them will give monthly. One person handed me $40. I have two possible business donations coming (I talked with the business owners at church on Sunday). Day 29 – 13.1 Miles

Rising before the sunrise wasn’t any problem because I was on a mission to run the Pensacola Half Marathon. I’m still right about 30% on my support and waiting to hear back from quite a few people and churches. I’m continuing to pray for BIG things and trusting God in the journey. I’ll admit, I’m experiencing a little antsiness as I get closer to the end of the 40 days, wondering what will happen. I’m sure part of that, though, is my pre-race jitters before my half marathon in...

Day 27 – Encourage, Inspire, Challenge

Day 27 brought sweet memories of Baptist Collegiate Ministries. I attended the wedding of two students who were involved in Pensacola BCM when I served as the associate director, which also means that I saw quite a few other BCMers. Weddings like this are a great reunion time for me! At the reception, I caught up on life with a few folks and spent quite a while talking with two other BCMers who are now married. All 3 of us laughed a lot as we reminisced about leadership team meetings, retreats, and our favorite memories of each other in BCM. Nikki spent 5 years (of the 6 years I...
